Chella completed her doctorate in 2018 at St Hilda’s College, Oxford, and is now the Tinsley Outreach Fellow at Worcester College, Oxford where she divides her time equally between postdoctoral research and work to widen access to higher education. Her work focusses on bodies (particularly via theoretical frameworks derived from disability justice movements and disability studies) and the senses in performance, particularly in Greek tragedy and its reception. She also has a long-standing interest in non-hierarchical models for classical reception studies and published on assemblage theory as an alternative to the linearity of literary history (a paper arising from one of the Postclassicisms meetings) in 2019.
