I am a PhD student in Medieval, Golden Age and Spanish American Philology at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Iztapalapa, México (UAM-I). My PhD thesis deals with the relationship between Bion of Smyrna and the myth of Venus and Adonis in Spanish poetry of the Golden Age, with a focus on Juan de la Cueva and Pedro Soto de Rojas. My main research interests are Hellenistic poetry, Mexican Neo-latin literature and classical reception in the Spanish Golden Age and New Spain.
