Javier Fresneda is an artist and researcher whose work explores models of material culture, space and heritage, through the combination of sculpture, archival investigation, editorial projects, digital platforms and public events.
He is PhD in the Art History, Theory, Criticism and Art Practice program at the UCSD – University of California San Diego (U.S.), and obtained his Master’s degree in the Contemporary Art program of UEM – European University of Madrid (Spain).
Some of his most relevant projects and interventions have been presented at the Queens Museum New York (U.S.), Scharaun Berlin (Germany), Harvard University (U.S.), CA2M – Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo, (Spain), MCASD – Museum of Contemporary Art of San Diego (U.S.), AKV St. Joost (The Netherlands), Kunsthaus Bethanien (Germany), ELa – École Libre d’architecture Paris (France), and The Getty Research Institute (U.S.).
